I contract to organisations wanting to help their people grow their communication skills. I work with staff and students who are finding their voice and who are usually from a first language background other than English. If you would like to know more about me and what I do, I’m happy to talk by phone or make a time to meet in person. I can also provide referees from organisations I've worked with.

Workplace
I work with both groups and individuals in their workplaces. All courses can be face to face, online, or blended. My speaking and writing courses designed for professional New Zealand workplaces can be used as a starting point. These can also be tailored to suit specific needs.

Academic
For the academic sector, I develop argument writing courses for PhD students. Through these, students see how academic writers create a research space, how they make a claim, and how they forge an academic identity. Typically, students start the course writing densely packed informational text without analysis and often without shape. Students end the course better understanding what they want to say and how they want to say it.
Any of my academic writing courses can be adapted, depending on the needs of interested groups.
